Guardforce’s Steven Leung Explains How Technology Supports Multiple Business Areas

In an interview with The Headline Daily last month, Guardforce Group Business Development AGM Steven Leung talked about the company’s transformation journey, using Internet of Things (IoT) technology to foster innovative solutions for a number of tradition sectors, such as elderly care, cleaning and property management, and deliver long-term benefits to those sectors.

In the interview, he elaborated on various first-in-Hong Kong innovative applications designed by Guardforce for underserved sectors. The Anti-wandering solution and Smart care solution help the elderly care sector enhance care services; facial recognition and IoT sensor solutions are applied to strengthen security and people management for multiple sectors; the Smart Bin Solution uses ultrasonic sensors to keep track of rubbish level, and the integrated solar-powered trash compactor can help minimise manpower and improve efficiency for waste collection; the Smart Cleaning solution uses IoT sensors to monitor public toilets’ cleanliness, traffic flow and consumable supply levels, so that facility management companies can apply a “clean on demand” strategy for managing public toilets while augmenting safety and user experience.

Mr Leung emphasised that the examples prove traditional business sectors can derive multiple benefits and save costs by embracing technology.
