Geneva Award For Vital Signs Sensor

Geneva award for Vital Signs Sensor | Guardforce

It’s a big win! The vital signs sensor adopted by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) was awarded a silver medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva. Congratulations to EMSD, and much appreciation for believing in Guardforce in delivering and implementing the solution along with other partners. It was a testament to the importance of such partnership to make technology tools impactful.

The patented vital signs sensor is a contactless device that constantly scans a monitored space to check for three human vital signs – heart rate, breathing and motion. If a person in the space is motionless, it will immediately check the person’s heart rate and breathing. It will also issue an alert for assistance if any sign is irregular.

The sensor is most suitable for use at elderly homes, hospitals and care facilities. EMSD deployed it at correctional facilities as a health monitoring solution to ensure personnel safety. Guardforce is thankful to be involved in this meaningful project and encouraged that the solution has proven to serve the purpose of saving lives.
