Attending Hong Kong Society For The Blind’s Anniversary Open Day

Guardforce had the pleasure of attending the 60th Anniversary Open day of the Hong Kong Society for the Blind on 19th August in Kwun Tong. We took part in the opening ceremony and visited their workshop where products such as carton boxes, ear plugs for airlines and bags are made, to understand more how the NGO’s members work.

It is the NGO’s mission “to provide services to help maximize the capabilities of the visually impaired, facilitate their equal participation in society and improve their quality of life with a view to achieving a harmonious and inclusive society”. As a responsible corporation, Guardforce fully supports the Society’s mission as a corporate partner for more than 20 years.

Our Operations Manager, Jacky Leung, volunteered his personal time to teach children Taekwondo. He led the children in a Taekwondo demonstration during the event’s opening ceremony. Guardforce received a souvenir from the Kwun Tong District Officer, Mr Lam Siu Hong as an appreciation of the long-term corporate partnership supporting the Society. It is always fulfilling to show care to the minorities and people in need and bring them hope.
