Guardforce demonstrated how its anti-wandering solution could help ensure elderly’s safety at the, held at the Tsim Sha Tsui District Kaifang Welfare Association on March 25, 2019.

The event exhibited innovative and smart products and services that will help elderly care facilities improve operational efficiency and save costs.

Guardforce’s smart anti-wandering solution is the first in Hong Kong to leverage facial recognition, integrated with networked security cameras, to stop elderly residents from wandering off care facilities unattended. When a resident approaches an exit and attempts to leave the facility, the system will send an alert to caretakers or lock the exit temporarily. While preventing the elderly from wandering off, the solution also gives residents total independence to move around in the facility.

Through the product demonstration, Guardforce hopes to highlight yet again the need to care for the elderly in the community, and how the community as a whole can leverage innovative solutions to help improve the quality of care for the elderly to show our respect to them.
