Congratulation to Guardforce colleague Mr Lai Hoi Wa on being selected as one of the winners in the 2020-2021 Outstanding Security Officers award program organized by the Chamber of Security Industry. He was among 12 winners selected this year, and the award was presented on 4 January during the Chamber’s 10^th Anniversary Celebration Ceremony held at Hyatt Hotel in Tsimshatsui.

The annual award program is organized by the Chamber to recognise security officers who have shown commendable performance. Mr Lai is prudent, alert and tenacious. One day he detected signs of a fire breaking out in a unit in the residential building where he was posted. No one was at home at that moment. He got in touch with the resident immediately and was authorized to enter. He quickly found the source of the smoke and prevented a major incident.

His professionalism deserves a round of big applause. Everyone at Guardforce is really proud of him.
